Posted May 08, 2018 07:20:23Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell has signed a one-year contract with the team, a league source told ESPN.
The contract, which was signed Thursday, is worth $1.4 million.
Mitchell, who has caught 65 passes for 839 yards and five touchdowns this season, has been with the Seahawks since 2013 and caught 67 passes for 936 yards and six touchdowns during his three-year tenure with the franchise.
Mitchel played at Tennessee before being drafted by the Seahawks in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
He made the team in 2016, catching 37 passes for 551 yards and two touchdowns for Tennessee before leaving the team.
Mitchley is coming off a strong season for the Seahawks, recording career highs in receptions (63), receiving yards (836), touchdowns (10), touchdowns-per-game (13.7) and rushing yards (5,764).
He is also second on the team with 21 receptions and has been named the team’s most valuable player in the playoffs.
Mitchaley is now a free agent.
