A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of watching the Edmonton Oilers celebrate a second Stanley Cup win with a hockey themed redesign.
Since then, the team has taken to Twitter to announce the design for the new jersey.
The logo is now a stylized hockey helmet.
The Oilers have been working on the redesign since late 2016, and they’re still making tweaks, but today they unveiled their design for an official jersey.
“The Oilers jersey has undergone a major design overhaul,” the team wrote on Twitter.
“We’ve made it the most iconic jersey in the NHL and have been using the NHL logo and all of our logos to create a new look that is uniquely our.
Our vision for the redesign is that the Oilers jersey is the ultimate team, and the team, players and fans all feel like they are part of the family.”
The redesign of the Oilers new jersey will be available on June 18.
